Who we are

EastVinyl (eastvinyl.top) is an independent record shop specialising in vinyl pressings from Taiwan, China, mainland China and Japan. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have.

What we collect

• Order information: name, shipping address, email address, phone number and the contents of your order.
• Payment information: handled entirely by our payment providers. We receive only a transaction reference and the last digits of the card. We never see or store full card numbers.
• Account information: if you create an account, your username, email address and order history.
• Technical data: IP address, browser type, device and pages visited, collected through cookies and similar technologies.
• Correspondence: messages you send us by email or through the site.

Why we use it

• To process, pack and ship your order, and to send order updates.
• To handle returns, refunds and customer support.
• To prevent fraud and abuse, and to meet accounting and tax obligations.
• To improve the shop through aggregate analytics, and — only where consent is required — to send occasional updates.

Who we share it with

We share only what is necessary with: payment providers (card processing and fraud screening), shipping carriers and customs brokers (delivery), email and hosting providers (operations), and analytics providers. We do not sell personal data.

Cookies

Essential cookies keep your cart and session working. Optional analytics cookies help us understand which records and pages are useful. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; blocking essential cookies may prevent checkout from working.

Your rights

Depending on where you live — for example under the GDPR in the EU and UK, or the CCPA/CPRA in California — you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or port your data, to object to certain processing, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal data (we do not sell or share data for cross-context behavioural advertising). Write to hello@eastvinyl.top and we will respond within 30 days. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.

Retention and international transfers

Order records are kept for as long as required for tax and accounting purposes. Our store is operated from mainland China and our service providers may process data in other countries; where required we rely on contractual safeguards for those transfers.

Children

The shop is not directed to children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.
